How to reach us?

Our facilities are located in the Physics building (B5a) on the Sart-Tilman campus of the University of Liège, a few kilometres away from the historical centre of Liège. The campus can easily be reached by public transportation as described below.

By train

Liège is well-connected to the railway network and its main railway station, Liège-Guillemins, provides high speed services to the neighbouring countries. You can arrive from Paris, Amsterdam or Brussels by Thalys, or from Frankfurt by ICE. You can also easily reach Liège by national trains from all main cities in Belgium and from Brussels airport. For more information, check the website of the National Railway Company of Belgium (NMBS/SNCB).

By bus

There is a bus company, called TEC, running the buses in the city of Liège and its surroundings. You can buy tickets in the bus (ask the driver). There are two bus lines going to Sart-Tilman. Their frequency depends on the time of the day, but there is usually a bus every 5 to 10 minutes.

  • Number 48: runs from the city centre (Opéra) to Sart-Tilman (direction Sart-Tilman – CHU) via Liège-Guillemins main train station. The ride takes about 30 minutes from the centre and 20 minutes from the station. From the city center, when looking at the front of the Opera, take the bus on the left side of the building. At Liège-Guillemins railway station, take the bus at platform B. Leave the bus at the “Physique” bus stop, cross the road and walk all the way down to reach the entrance of B5a building.
  • Number 58: runs from Liège-Guillemins main train station (platform B) to Sart-Tilman (direction Sart-Tilman – Boncelles). The ride takes about 15 minutes. Leave the bus at the “Chimie” bus stop and follow the road in the same direction as the bus. When you reach the “Physique” bus stop, turn left and walk all the way down the reach the entrance of B5a building.
